Francisco is a passionate restaurateur who has always dreamed of running his own establishment. With a deep love for hospitality and a strong desire to be his own boss, he has created a space where great food, warm company, and vibrant culture come together. He thrives on meeting new people, sharing stories over a meal, and embracing the rich traditions that make dining an unforgettable experience. For Francisco, a restaurant isn’t just about food—it’s about connection, community, and the joy of bringing people together.

DINO

Dino left the world of construction to join his family's restaurant, but instead of the kitchen, he found his place behind the bar, where his passion for great drinks and lively conversation shines. A devoted QPR football fan, he thrives on the energy of match days just as much as the buzz of food markets and festivals. He loves traveling to warm destinations, learning from different cultures, and bringing those inspirations back to the restaurant. 

For Dino, the restaurant is more than just a business—it's a hub for connection, celebration, and community. . Above all, family is his everything, and he takes great pride in carrying forward his father’s legacy, one drink at a time.

Dina brings warmth, energy, and years of restaurant expertise to O Bombeiro. Having honed her skills in Madeira and Switzerland, she has a wealth of experience in hospitality, making every guest feel right at home. When she arrived in London, she joined her uncle Francisco at the restaurant, embracing the family tradition of great food and even greater company.

Known as the life of the party, Dina’s vibrant personality fills the room, turning any evening into a celebration. And on weekends, she takes it up a notch—gracing guests with her singing, adding an extra touch of joy to the O Bombeiro experience. Whether she’s serving up delicious dishes or serenading the crowd, Dina’s presence ensures that every visit feels special.

SARA

Sara's journey into the culinary world began with determination and a dream. Growing up in Portugal, she didn’t have the chance to study as a child, but at 17, she seized an opportunity in Lisbon to learn, cook, and serve authentic Portuguese cuisine. Since then, she has poured her heart into her craft, mastering traditional flavours and techniques that celebrate her country’s rich culinary heritage. For Sara, cooking isn’t just about preparing food—it’s about creating experiences. She takes immense pride in her dishes and finds true satisfaction in seeing customers enjoy every bite.

Gastão

Gastão’s culinary journey began when he left Madeira for Venezuela at just 16, stepping into the restaurant world as a waiter. But his passion for food quickly led him into the kitchen, where he honed his skills and rose to the rank of chef. For over 20 years, he has been working alongside Francisco, bringing his mastery of grilling to every dish that leaves his flames.

Beyond the kitchen, Gastão embraces the beauty of fresh ingredients, growing his own fruit and vegetables in his allotment, ensuring that quality and tradition are at the heart of his cooking. A true craftsman, he also makes his own traditional Madeira wine, blending flavors that tell the story of his roots.

FERNANDA

Fernanda’s culinary journey began at just 12 years old when she left school to work in a restaurant in Alentejo. There, she immersed herself in the art of traditional Portuguese cuisine.

 

Now a chef in London, she infuses every plate with the essence of Portugal, with a particular passion for cooking fish dishes. Fernanda takes great pride in her cooking,  ensuring each dish is prepared with authenticity and care. For her, cooking is more than just creating meals—it’s about sharing a taste of Portugal.
